If you have watched some of the TV hits such as American Horror Story, Glee and Pose and liked those series then we have some good news for you. The director and producer behind those masterpieces, Ryan Murphy is coming to Netflix with a brand new series called The Politicians.
The show is set to premiere on September 27, 2019, and is highly anticipated and discussed over the internet.
So far The Politicians TV series is described as a dark musical comedy that follows Payton Hobart played by Ben Platt. You might know him from The Pitch Perfect. Anyway, Payton is a wealthy student at Saint Sebastian High School in Santa Barbara, California who is convinced that he will one day become the president of the United States.
Well, that won’t be that very easy, will it? To make his dream a reality, he must fight through the political landscape of Sebastian High School and become student body president, all while keeping his image clean.
The TV series is offering an interesting aspect of what it takes to become a politician which we know, it’s never always a clean path.
In addition to Ben Platt, the show cast members include Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Theo Germaine, Julia Schlaepfer, Laura Dreyfuss, Bob Balaban, David Corenswet, Rahne Jones and Benjamin Barrett. Brad Falchuk is signed on as a writer and executive producer.
This lineup is exciting enough to convince many people to watch the show. What’s more? Netflix ordered season two right after they announced their five-year $300 million deal with Ryan Murphy. This suggests that we can expect a lot more works of Murphy on Netflix.
