One Banana Which got sold for $120,000 was eaten by a hungry artist

A banana which created  online sensation when it was sold for $120,000 has been eaten by performance artist David Datuna. He ate the banana around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday and Museum was full of people when he ate that banana.

Who created a $120,000 worth of banana ?

The banana which was sold for $120,000 was not anything special, it was just regular banana which was hang on the wall with duct tape. This was the idea of Maurizio Cattelan who is known for his satirical sculptures. He is well known for making 18-karat solid gold toilet which was recently stolen stolen from Blenheim Palace .

According to Cattelan, his new creation banana is not supposed to symbolize anything , it is just a piece of banana. He named his creation ‘Comedian’ . He came up with the idea one year ago when he though of making some sculpture in the shape of banana. He used to bring a banana with him when ever he used to travel and used to hang it in his hotel room to get inspiration. But at last he decided to just hang it as it is.

After the news of selling banana was out, people in social media was confused and surprised by this .

What will happen to the art ?

According to the museum, David Datuna didn’t destroy the art because banana is the idea not that specific one. Banana was supposed to be replaced because it would have naturally rot even if he had not ate that.
