Psych is an American comedy-drama television series that was created by Steve Franks and was broadcast on USA Network. The series stars James Ruddy as Sean Spencer, a young Santa Barbara Police Department criminal advisor whose “enhanced surveillance skills” and his impressive memory allow him to convince people that he solves cases psychologically. The series also stars Hill International as Sean’s intelligent best friend and reluctant partner, Burton “Gus” Gaster, as well as Corbyn Bernsen as Sean’s father, Henry, a former detective in the Santa Barbara Police Department. The series was premiered on Friday, July 7, 2006, right after the fifth season premiere of Monk. On February 5, 2014, USA Network confirmed that the eighth season of Psych would be the last, and the series’s final episode would be broadcast on March 26, 2014. Even after many years, the series has been finding new audiences and fans.
